  • Specialized in rushing the passer from linebacker spot
  • Key figure in Miami’s undefeated 1972 season and victories in Super Bowls VII and VIII
  • Retired in 1980
  • Became Duke linebacker coach
  • Forced to give up coaching when he contracted Hodgkin’s disease in 1982
  • Died in 1994
