During his tenure UNC won or shared 17 regular-season titles, won 13 ACC Tournament titles, appeared in 27 NCAA Tournaments, and advanced to 11 Final Fours, winning 1982 and 1993 NCAA titles. Won 63 NCAA Tournament games. His last 27 teams won 20 or more games. Won 1971 NIT title. Coached 1976 U.S. men’s Olympic team to gold medal. Coached numerous all-Americans and NBA players.
