Three-sport coach and athletic administrator at Rockingham and Richmond County High Schools for 40 years. Compiled 226-74-14 record in 28 seasons. Won 13 conference titles, four state crowns. Also coached state titlist in baseball. Member N.C. High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame. Graduate of Wake Forest. Born 1918, Raleigh.
