Track coach, administrator at UNC. Graduate of Woodberry Forest Academy, Woodberry, Va., and Davidson. Coached football and track at both schools. Track coach at UNC, 1921–1952. Track team captured 14 SC titles. UNC athletic director, 1923–1952, first full-time AD. Track facility at UNC named Fetzer Field in his honor. Cocoach of UNC football team with brother Bill, 1921–1925. Record 30-8-4. Born 1887, Concord. Died 1968.
