We have an exciting day planned of great golf, great prizes, and great entertainment to include an awards reception honoring LPGA veteran and long-time Wake Forest University Women’s Golf Coach Dianne Dailey.  Dianne, along with 2017Salute to Champions honoree Coach Richard Sykes, will hold a “Behind the Scenes” discussion and Q&A session.

Schedule of Events:

Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway, Cary, NC

8:00 a.m. - Golfer check-in (Your celebrity player and starting hole will be shared at check-in)

8:30 a.m. - Full Breakfast (Practice facilities available)

10:00 a.m. - Shotgun Start (Scramble/Captain’s Choice)

Immediately Following Golf – Special Recognition of Dianne Dailey and reception to include refreshments; hors d'oeuvres; presentation of awards, prizes and golfer gifts; and “Behind the Scenes” with Coaches Dailey and Sykes.

The North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, which inducted its first class in 1963, celebrates excellence and extraordinary achievement in athletics. The Hall of Fame also commemorates and memorializes exceptional accomplishments in sports for the inspiration and enjoyment of all North Carolinians, especially the youth, through popular exhibits and educational displays.

Notable accomplishments of many of the Hall of Fame members are showcased in a 3,000-square foot museum on the third floor of the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh. The museum’s address is 5 East Edenton Street, and it is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.


NCSHOF currently has 363 members,

the first class was inducted in 1963.


The North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame is located on the third floor

of the N.C Museum of History in downtown Raleigh.
