Third-team AP and UPI all-American, 1960. Scored 1,053 points in college, averaging 14.0 per game. Played in National Industrial League, 1961, and in NBA for Syracuse, 1962–1963, and Philadelphia, 1964. Averaged 16.8 points per game in NBA. Played in 1963 NBA All-Star Game. Leg injury and burgeoning business career curtailed NBA tenure. Raised in Pittsburgh. Moved back to North Carolina after pro career. Named to 1985 NCAA Silver Anniversary All-America team. Born 1939.
