Standout college and professional center. Played at Duke, 1976–1980. Scored 2,323 points and averaged 19 points per game. Named ACC Player of the Year in 1979 and all-American in 1979 and 1980. Selected first-team all-ACC, 1978–1980. Helped Duke to 1978 NCAA Final Four. Played 14 seasons in the NBA, with four teams, scoring almost 11,000 points. After leaving the pros, moved to North Carolina and became a basketball announcer. Native of Connecticut.
