November 27, 1954 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Canadian Football League star Red O’Quinn had a big game in the 42nd Grey Cup for CFL supremacy, but it wasn’t enough. O’Quinn, a former star at Wake Forest, caught 13 passes for a whopping 356 yards and two touchdowns, including a 90-yard bomb, but his Montreal Alouettes fell to the Edmonton Eskimos, 26-25. The game is considered one of the best in Grey Cup history. O’Quinn joined the NCSHOF in 1982.
