December 9, 1976 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Wes Ferrell died at the age of 68. Ferrell pitched for 15 years in the major leagues and had six 20-win seasons, including four with the Cleveland Indians and two with the Boston Red Sox. He fired a no-hitter during the 1931 season. He was inducted into the NCSHOF in 1976.
