December 18, 2010 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, renowned swimmer Peter Fogarassy died in Raleigh at the age of 71. Escaping from his native country of Hungary, he wound up at North Carolina State University and eventually set two world records and seven American marks in the breaststroke. He was inducted into the NCSHOF in 2005.
