December 21, 1941 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, George McAfee had a big game for the Chicago Bears as they knocked off the New York Giants 37-9 in the National Football League championship game at Wrigley Field. McAfee, a former Duke star, carried the football 14 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and also caught two passes for 42 yards.  He joined the NCSHOF in 1967.
