February 5, 1985 - On this day in history, Buck Williams paced his New Jersey Nets to a 119-117 victory over the Detroit Pistons in Detroit. The former Maryland star tallied 33 points, hitting 12 of 16 shots from the field, and grabbed 17 rebounds in 43 minutes of action. Buck was a #3 overall pick by the New Jersey Nets in 1981. His NBA career spanned seventeen years, and saw him named a 3x NBA All-Star. His number 52 is retired by the Brooklyn Nets.
