April 10, 1976 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Raymond Floyd maintained the lead he had built up to win the 1976 Masters Golf tournament at Augusta National. He was 17-under par for the tournament and opened with blazing rounds of 65 and 66 to record an eight-shot victory over the field, with Ben Crenshaw second. Floyd was inducted into the NCSHOF in 1981.
