April 23, 2012 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Dr. Leroy Walker died at the age of 93. Walker was an internationally known track and field coach and guided the USA team in the 1976 Olympics before serving as president of the U.S. Olympic Committee from 1992 -96. A former chancellor of North Carolina Central University, Walker was inducted into the NCSHOF in 1975.
