May 9, 1990 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Wilmington native Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to a 101-96 Eastern Conference playoff victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. The former UNC all-American ripped the Nets for 45 points, grabbed eight rebounds, handed out seven assists and had three steals. Jordan’s teams won six NBA championships during his career. He joined the NCSHOF in 2010.
