May 20, 1951 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Clyde King of the Brooklyn Dodgers tossed a complete game in the second game of a doubleheader, going the distance in a 14-4 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati. King got his fourth win of the year, scattering eight hits, on his way to 14 victories on the season. A Goldsboro native, King also managed for years in the major leagues. He joined the NCSHOF in 1983.
