July 29, 1972 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, Clarence “Ace” Parker was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.  The former Duke star, who also played major league baseball, was the Most Valuable Player during the 1940 NFL season for the Brooklyn Dodgers (yes, that’s right).   He was enshrined into the NCSHOF in 1963.
