September 7, 1980 - On this day in history in the NCSHOF, the Baltimore Colts and its mainstay offensive guard Ken Huff opened their NFL season with a 17-14 victory over the New York Jets at Shea Stadium. The Colts rolled up 370 yards in total offense but had to kick a field goal in the fourth quarter to win it. Huff was an all-American at UNC who played 11 years in the NFL. He joined the NCSHOF in 2008.
